About Hour & Pay

Hour & Pay is a set of free calculators for the arithmetic around hourly work: converting time for payroll, adding up time cards, checking overtime and working out PTO.

We build each tool for the people who actually do this math: hourly employees checking a paycheck, managers approving timesheets and small-business owners running payroll themselves.

How we keep results accurate

Every calculator is backed by tested code, and every rule we describe links to its original source, such as the US Department of Labor. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Read more on how we calculate.

What we are not

We are not a law firm, payroll provider or tax adviser. Our results help you plan and check numbers; your employer's records, your contract and the law in your state decide what you are owed.
